Welcome to Goodnews
Every child carries a light worth developing.
Goodnews Foundation Academy is a Christian learning community where academic growth, sound character and spiritual development belong together.
What began with four pupils on 10 September 2012 has grown into a complete nursery, primary and secondary school serving families in Abakaliki. Our work remains personal: create the right environment, teach with purpose and help every learner discover what they can become.

The Goodnews standard
We put FIRST things first.
Five values guide how our pupils learn, relate to others and make decisions.
Integrity
Choose what is right, even when no one is watching.
Respect
Treat people, learning and community with dignity.
Self-determination
Take ownership of effort, choices and progress.
Trust
Build relationships through honesty and consistency.
Beyond the classroom
Learning should meet the real world.
Science practicals, health education, clubs, the arts and civic experiences help learners turn knowledge into skill, judgement and confidence.
